PILOT CPR TRAINING FOR 6TH CLASS
Our pilot CPR project kicked off today with St Joseph's National School in Glanmire. We organised Caroline from St John's Ambulance to come in and teach CPR to all the 6th Class students. All the students also received a magnet for their fridge at home to note their own Eircode in case of emergency.
ST JOSEPH'S SCHOOL RIVERSTOWN
Many thanks to Mr Bracken for facilitating and to Caroline for doing an excellent job teaching the students.
The training was hands on for all students, so they have all physically done it with the mannequin and more likely to remember. It was very clear that they all enjoyed the experience while learning an invaluable life skill in the process. We cannot thank Caroline enough from St John's Ambulance, she was excellent.
It was such an outstanding success we will continue to roll it out to more local schools in 2020.
